Internet Connectivity Inconsistent.

I have switched over from Comcast (Cable) to ATT&T (DSL) and am having problems with my router. When I connect the DSL modem directly to my computer my internet service works perfectly. However, when I connect the DSL modem though my Netgear router to my computer, the internet links I click on display "Internet Explorer cannot display this webpage". However, when I click on the same link again the page is displayed as intended. I think this is an issue with my router settings. Can you provide a suggestions on what the issue might be? I can also send you my configurations if needed. The real problem is that the internet connections with the Netgear router is inconsistent. Also when is perform a ipconfig -all from the command prompt, the connection-specific DNS suffix is "comcast.net". Could this have something to do with the issue. Thanks.
