Internet Explorer 6.0 - Error message
In trying to re-install Internet Explorer 6.0 I receive the following message:
"A previous installation has pending work requiring a reboot. You need to restart your computer to complete the installation before running IE setup".
I have Windows 98 SE and my original version of IE was 5.0.
I downloaded IE 6.0 some time ago.
I got a virus and was forced to "recover" the system.
Everything went OK. I ended up with IE 5.0 and in trying to reinstall IE 6.0 I am getting the message mentioned above.
I checked the data base and there is a document mentioning exactly the same "message" with a solution for a reboot for Windows ME.
Can I follow the steps mentioned there although my system is Windows 98 SE?
Thank you for your help.

I have been restarting the computer and trying to download IE 6.0 but I am getting the same old message.
Am sorry for the ignorance but may be downloading is different than re-installing. If that is the case I do not know how to re-install IE 6.0
Thank you in advance if you can continue helping me.
