Internet Explorer Error Message

Question

I have a brand new Inspiron 530 that will connect to the Internet through mozilla firefox but with Internet Explorer I always get 'Runtime error, the system has detected a fault and is closing this appliction'. Why? What can I do?   Thanks

Sounds like one of the components of IE is corrupted. Try reloading IE ('add or remove programs', 'Add/Remove Windows Components'.) You will then have to reload all the existing security updates for IE, but that the price for getting it fixed.

Thanks. Can't find though where 'add/remove windows components' is. Not lited on 'uninstall programmes.'

Hi Paul,   Try opening internet explorer then go to tools, internet options, then advanced tab and look  for the Reset button.
