Internet explorer not working and audio not working

Question

Hi
Internet explorer is not working and online music does not working.

IE says page not found.however Mozilla firefix works

for online music even though i reloaded Javascript it doesnt play.??

I dont know what the problem is. can anyone help?

You may also have a spyware infection that is preventing IE from working properly. Try using Spybot S&D to scan for spyware, it can be found here:

If anything is found you can also run Hijack this, found at this site:

http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html

Copy in the results here and we can look at them. After you have ruled out spyware and Browser settings, then I would go to reinstalling IE. It is not as easy as it may seem and includes registry changes which could really mess up your PC if done incorrectly.

Strange.  Using Internet Explorer, if you navigate to a known reliable site such as http://www.google.com you get the same error?   Also try clicking on Tools-Internet options and under the Security tab click on Default level.    Since you can browse fine with Firefox, this is not a connectivity issue, but likely something configured incorrectly with Internet Explorer.  Let me know how this goes.  Also, what version of Internet Explorer are you running?  You can find this by clicking on Help-About in Internet Explorer.

also when i run spybot i found 30 probs , when i tried to fix problems it is not getting eliminated. what should i do?

As for the SpyBot, it sometimes takes a reboot to clear out the baddies it finds.  It also helps to run SpyBot in Safe mode which you can access by pressing F8 while booting and then selecting Safe Mode.  This should allow you to clear anything you find.    As for the Hijack This logs, there's lots of entries for toolbars and such, but nothing looks malicious.  It is possible that IE has somehow broken with all the search bars and registry key's entered for search programs.  Check another thing, if you could....in IE click on Tools-Options and then go to the Connections tab and click on Lan Settings at the bottom.  Tell me if there is anythign entered there.   If you want to review the output from your Hijcak This log which recommends some things you can clean up the go to this address: http://hjt.networktechs.com/parse.php and paste in a copy of your HijackThis log.  Check the Connections tab when you can and let me know what you find.
