internet keeps dropping then reconnecting

K here is the setup. Inm attic there is main computer conected to internet(SBC) He has a router that goes to his 360 then another wire that runs down to the second floor which is my computer. On the 360 and my downstairs computer the online connection seems to randomly drop, It could stay connected for hours or seconds and I would like to know how to find what the problem is. Thanks

You didn't answer the question.  Is the router coming fromm the main computer and then the other two connected to the router?   All three should be coming from direct connections to the router.
