Internet locks up/freezes

Help me please!   I have wireless internet on my laptop.  I can connect to the internet, do some surfing, and open e-mails.  But if I click on links within my e-mails or web-sites, my internet locks up.  This does not happen on my desk top or the other family member's lap top.  How do I fix this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What model computer and operating system are you running? Are there any third party firewalls running on it?(Norton Internet Security, McAfee Security Suite, Trend Micro, etc.)

If it is Trend Micro Internet Security, that has an Anti-Virus program included in it? If the Symantec Anti-virus is running this could cause a conflict? Check to make sure the Windows firewall is not enabled, because if it's enabled this could create additional conflicts? Basically, pick one security firewall to run(Trend Micro)and disable the rest...
