internet modem

Hi,
I  bought Dell Dimenson 9100 three months ago, now I want to connect to internet Broadband ADSL, and they ask for Internet Modem (or pay $129 for modem), I don't know whether my computer has Modem installed already or not. Do I need to buy a Modem?
Please give me an answer.

Rarely does a PC come with an broadband modem.  Many DSL providers will "give" you a modem, I'm surprised you have to buy one.  But, if you opt to buy one you must buy one that is compatible with the DSL service - some DSL providers require a certain model or type. (Same way with Cable broadband they will either "give" (loan) you a modem or if you buy one it must be compatible with the cable provider).
