Internet Problems

Question

I'm not sure if this the right place to ask this question, but, I reformatted my computer and  have now downloaded my drivers on to my computer form the Del Resource disk ( the model of the computer is Dell 2350, bought in 2002, I have windows XP home edition)  After installing the drivers, it won't let me connect to the DSL modem?  Has anyone had a problem like this, and if so, can you help?  Thanks so much!
