Internet/Email connection

Suddenly, for no apparent reason, I cannot connect to the internet or to my outlook email via my wireless connection.  The connection is reported as "Excellent" but when trying to connect to the internet or email, I get a message that says a broadband cable is disconnected.  It looks like the computer is looking for the wrong network connection, even though all network connections but the wireless are disabled.  Any suggestions?

Check the configuration of your PC to see if it is able to "obtain" an IP Address
from your broadband service provider. How ?

Start>Run>cmd>ipconfig /all     to see if your PC is DHCP enable.

Then go to Start>Run>cmd>ipconfig /release   if it is DHCP enabled.
If not yet DHCP enabled, go to your Network Connection> Right Click on LAN>
Select Properties>TCP/IP and configure DHCP to Obtain an IP Address.

Then Start>Run>cmd> ipconfig /release
and
Start>Run>cmd> ipconfig /renew

With that, your PC should be able to obtain an IP address automatically from your
broadband internet provider. If still no connection, please let me know. It only means
your configuration might not be the problem. Contact your Internet Service Provider.
It is easy for that company to deny you access, even if by mistake. I am sure they
will have an explanation.
