internwt connection

Question

I have dell inspiron E1505. got a wireless router Linksys wrt54g.I hook up the router to my modem,I can go on line with my desk top,the laptop is picking up the router but I have no internet connection. I do not know alot about computers. please help me. thank you.

I had to replace that router - had problems with it and my E1505
