ISP Connection Loss

I've been using a Dell Truemoblie 1184 router for over a year now.  I've had no problems connecting to my ISP via a cable modem.  I recently changed cable modems to a TJ 700 Cable Modem and now I keep losing connection to my ISP.  When I hard boot the cable modem, wireless router, and PC, I get the connection back.  However, I lose it after a while.  Anybody know what may be causing this?

The 1184 is not getting a new IP address when the old one expires.  There was a firmware update for the 1184 concerning WAN IP address updating - Downloads tab above.

I have a similar problem with my TM 2300 router.  However, I am using the same cable modem I've use for several years.  For the last couple months, the router's lost my internet connection one every day or so.  The cable modem still shows that its online but the activity is never lit after the router loses access.  When I hoopup directly to the modem, I never lose my connection.  Lately, I've been losing my connection more often.  3 times today.  All I have to do is reset my cable modem and it comes right back.  However, the cable modem is not the problem because I don't need to resest it if I hookup directly to it.  All the while my wireless network works ok.  My router also flakes out and loses the wireless connection, but infrequently.  It comes back automatically within a few seconds and I understand this is a common problem.  I am concerned about the router losing my internet hookup just because it happens so often and requires me to reset my modem which is a hassle.  Please help.

Thanks John.  I'll download the firmware updates.

Have you applied the latest firmware for the 2300??  It is entirely possible your ISP moved to new servers and they operate differently and the 2300 is not requesting an IP refresh like it should, which is what the update addresses.  Same story.
