keep losing connection

My internet connection gets cut off after about two minutes.  Other computers I have on the same wireless router have no problem.  A friend said it might be driver related.  Any ideas?  Thanks!

Whether AdAware will solve this problem or not, it's a highly recommended program for detecting and deleting malware.

Here's a quick guide: http://ralphcaddell.com/pchelp/Ad-aware%20instructions.htm

Your problem may be unrelated to malware, but malware can cause any number of problems with a PC. In addition to safe computing practices, a firewall, and an anti-virus program, running AdAware, Spybot S&D, Spyware Blaster and Spyware Guard will help keep your system healthy and reduce the possibility of problems related to malware. After eliminating the possibility of malware, you can be more assured that your problems are either hardware or software or configuration or compatibility.

Mrmagg,

Are you using WEP or WPA secuity? If so, there are plenty of lost connection problems on this board. Microsoft has a patch that addresses long wait connectons etc when booting up a wireless pc and using WPA. You my want to look at this patch. Please reply with details as far as router and adaptor card.
