LAN Problem

Question

I have a problem with the lan network in my inspiron 5100. I can connect to the lan of mi office with the wireless card but i can't connect with the rj45 port, what can i do????

Is this a physical problem with the hardware?Â If it is, then you should consider contacting Dell Support to have them set up a hardware solution.

I had a similar problem on a Dell Inspiron 1100.  I called Dell Support and they tried lots of things over the phone to update drivers amd BIOS.  Finally after ruling everything out they are replacing the mother board because the integrated networking card is likely bad.
