Laptop doesnt recognize home wifi.
Hello, I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 which has been working well since quite some years... recently, it started disconnecting from the wifi network and never recognizing it until I restart the computer but then the same thing happens again... the computer is able to recognize other wifi networks but not mine. Moreover, I get an error whenever I try to save the network I connect to (home network). Does this have to do with the WLAN Wireless mini-card? I havent tried uninstalling yet.. my driver is Dell Wireless 1395 WLAN Mini-Card and its version is 4.176.75.21. For all these years ive had this laptop, this is the 1st time this actually happens. I have Windows 7 by the way I dont know if this helps. I appreciate your help and I really need to have this issue resolved since I cant connect to the internet via my home network anymore.

Hi nadereid21,
I would suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the Wireless card driver on the system. Please enter your service tag # on the link below, and click on ‘Get drivers and downloads’then download the wireless card driver from Network section onto the Desktop screen on a different system.

Please follow the steps mentioned below to uninstall the wireless card.
1. Click on Start button.
2. In the search box type, devmgmt.msc and then press enter.
3. Select the wireless card and Bluetooth device under Network Adapter and right click on it
4. Now select properties.
5. In the properties window, under Driver tab, click on Uninstall button.
6. Check “Delete the driver software for this device.”
7. You want to delete the driver click OK.
After the uninstall finishes restart the system and install the drivers by using the file downloaded on the desktop screen.
Please let me know if this helps.
