There are numerous postings that outline problems and solutions with this modem (dozens if not hundreds) on the DellTalk forum. I have read many even though I do not have that myself.
Now i am having another problem after upgrade, everything is working fine but sometimes my wireless connection gets disconnected by itself? But my Ethernet one is working fine
CLEAR the checkbox 'Allow Windows to power off network adapter"
RIGHT-click "My Computer" and choose Properties
Click "Hardware" TAB and then "Device Manager" button
Look on the list and find "Network Adapters" and expand.
Select the correct one, RIGHT-click and choose "Properties"
Click "Configure" Button and look for the checkbox.
You should always provide full power to the wireless network adapter. Clearing this checkbox instructs the system to do that.
Do you have carry-around phone which may also be interferring?
Umm, there is no configure button? But i know were to uncheck that button!! The thing is that when the utility is managing my wireless connection that button dissapears and when the utility is not managing my wireless connection that button reappears. I am currently using WEP connection. I have a cordless phone but its away from my router and the internet gets dissconected even if the phone is not in use!!
