I have read many postings regarding the problem of pcmcia
modems not working in XP in Latitude CPi's. I'm getting "hardware failure" with both a new Diamond Supra and a 3com 3cXM556 modem. Both load the drivers, both say device is working properly when querying in ControlPanel/Modems. I've tried changing assigned Interrupts. I've tried Hyperterminal. Always get "hardware failure."
Can someone at Dell please address this?
