Question

I resently purchased this laptop from a private owner. It came with 2 PC cards [ Fast Ethernet 10/100 Base-th by 3Com and PSION Gold Card 56K+Fax ]. I was told the 3COM card was for high speed internet access but I don't know what the Gold Card does [ is it for dialup access].It also has 2 floppy discs labeled Gold Card Global V.90 which I assume need to be installed . Please explain.I have dialup access for my desktop. I'm not real computer savy. Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes the Psion is a V90 compatible dialup modem , one caveat about the modem . Psion says it isn't compatible with WinXP and does not offer support for it . But the work around for it requires you to manually set its resources in System Manager . I frankly would just buy a newer one but the one I own works outstanding under Win2K .
