Latitude E4300 wifi problems - pls help
My new Latitude E4300 laptop finds my Home wireless network but is not connecting to it. I get a message saying unable to connect. My Network password is properly fed and my laptop is not far away from my router. Please help. I have Intel 5300 card (I thought that is the best one for this laptop) and recent drivers from Intel site.

Skamaraju,
What type of security are you using in your wireless router?
Ypou are NOT using Mac Address Filtering, correct?

Skamaraju,
A Mac Address is a twelve digit number and may look something like this...
00:00:00:00:00:00
It will contain numbers and letters and the setting should be disabled unless you or the person that setup your network enabled it. How to login to your wireless router
I would use these Recommended Wireless Router Settings in your wireless router and then see how your connection is.
While you're connected, you could try this...
Hit the Windows key and the R key at the same time. Type CMD
and hit enter. Type
ipconfig /all
hit enter and post the results here.

Hi Rick,
Thank you for your reply. Somehow after an overnights rest, my router and laptop have started to work normally. I have saved your recommendations for future use in case I get the problem again.
