lattitude c600 wireless internet

What accessories are necessary for me to use my Lattitude c600 for a internet connection through a broadband ISP? I have no other PC.

Does the computer have a wireless network card installed?  If not, you will need one.  You will also need a wireless router and your broadband modem will need to have the capability of connecting by ethernet.  If it can only connect by USB, then you will need a new modem as wireless routers that can connect by USB to a modem are nearly impossible to find.

Thanks, Steve. I am new to wireless internet. As I understand it a wireless network card will communicate with the wireless router which will communicate with the broadband modem by wire? Should I expect the broadband ISP to provide the broadband modem?

Are there specific models of these accessories, (network card and router) that are compatible with the Lattitude c600 or are the accessories of genericly compatible?

Broadband at my home means Cox dot net and my recollection is that, yes, they did provide / furnish the cable modem.
