limited or no connectivity
I am trying to hook up my home network. one puter is already online. The dell keeps giving a message of
"limited or no connectivity".
HELP PLEASE!!!
what is wrong????

Is this a wired or wireless connection? Are you using a router or a hub/switch? Which version of Windows? Exactly how is your network set up (i.e. what connects to what)? Please provide more details.

this is a wired connection that goes through a Netgeat four port ethernet hub/switch. The OS is Windows XP. All computers connect throught the hub. The hub directly to the cable modem. The computer in question is a Dell Dimension 1100.
The puter that is working is setup through a gateway option on the network wizard. The puter that is giving me problems is set the same but will not activate.
Thank you in advance for any help. It is greatly needed.

Unless you have more than one static IP address assigned by your cable internet provider, you will not be able to share the internet connection though a hub. You will need a router.
