If you open Network Connections, right click your wireless conncetion and select View Available wireless networks, does your wireless network show up in the list?    Do any networks show up in the list?  Do you have any security enabled on your router?  If so, have you tried temporarily disabling the security to see if you can connect?

2 Networks in range, one being my home which I am connected to but have the "limited or no" connection. As far as security, I only disabled the firewall.

Are you saying that your wireless network is a non-secure network (in other words you do not have WEP or WPA encryption enabled nor do you have MAC Address Filtering Enabled)?  What happens if you go to View Available Wireless Networks, click your wireless network and click on the Connect button?

Please try real hard to answer my questions.  "What happens if you go to View Available Wireless Networks, click your wireless network and click on the Connect button?"

Have you tried temporarily disabling the security?????????

If I click connect, it tells me I need a network key. I then type it in and a few seconds later the connecting gets stuck on "acquiring network address" then goes to limited or no connectivity. Security wise, I have Trend Micro Internet Security (if that was the type of security you were looking for) and it is disabled.

The security I am asking about is the security (encryption) on the router.  It is apparently enabled, because it is asking for the network key.  Either you are not entering the correct network key or the security is broken.  What I am asking you to do is to temporarily disable the security (encryption) on the router.  If you can connect with security (encryption) disabled, then you know where the problem is and can take steps to correct it.

This is going to take forever if you don't provide more details.  Which "same message" did you receive?  Did it prompt you for a network key?  It should have warned you that you are attempting to connect to a non-secure wireless network.  Did it?  Remeber, I cannot see what you are doing form this end of the internet and I lost my esp ability when Hurricane Katrina hit, so you need to tell me what's going on.  Sorry I can't stay up any later to help tonight.  I'll check back when I have time tomorrow.
