Linksys Router Question

Question

We recently bought a Linksys WRT54G router (v4), and I was very happy to see that the firmware has an 'access restrictions' setting. I set up one computer in the house to have net access between the hours of 5 and 6 PM. I identified the machine in question by its MAC address. This seems to make more sense than using an IP identification since DHCP means the IP could change. I note that after a few days of checking settings and testing, the access restrictions do not work! Is there something I still need to do? Did I miss something? thank you for your help in advance,

suggest you call linksys...  things like that can be buggy.  make sure you have the most recent firmware.  i believe that hardware rev 4 can support open source firmware as well if you want to try that route

I updated tonight trying that first before posting.
I was just wondering if this "access restriction" feature had ever worked for anyone.
I think I'll stick with posts and replies. I get better information here than from Linksys.

From the few discussions in Linksysinfo.org on the topic, it appears the Access Restrictions feature isn't working as expected.
