Local Area Connection Missing

Hi all, my local area connection seems to have gone missing. I have my wireless network connection and 1394 connection. I've tried to uninstall the network adapters and let the computer reinstall them, also have tried to manually install the drivers from Dell, but has not worked. And, they are enabled in the BIOS.

I am assuming the NIC is bad, but hoping others may have some ideas for possible fixes? If not, do I just purchase a new one from Dell and install myself?
