After reinstalling Windows it is absolutely essential that you install the chipset drivers before even attempting to install any other device drivers. Without the chipset drivers, Windows will not be able to recognize nor install drivers for many other devices. This message is being repeated on these for forums for at least the 200th time.
I did do clean installs each time, I reformated the drive and started fresh. Sorry to say I am not the sharpest tack in the box but I have done this with this unit 2 times before and have done many others, I am a IS Manager for a small trucking company with 140 + clients, but I am learing on the job as I go
Did you format the hard drive and start "clean" ? or just install Windows over the existing installation?
A complete "clean" install may be in order to get it straightened out. (1) Install OS (2) install chipset drivers (3) install device drivers (4) reinstall applications and backed up user data (5) reinstall peripherals.
