Lost Printer Sharing

Question

Hi!   I have suddenly lost the ability to share my printer on my wireless network.  Haven't added new software or updates on either workstation.  Only thing different 'before' and 'after' is I recently rebooted the PC.  The HP printer is direct connected to my Gateway PC running Win98 with a cable modem.  I am able to ping my Inspiron from the Gateway, but can't ping the Gateway from the Inspiron.  I deleted the printer and attempted to re-install but the Inspiron can't see the Gateway so it's logical it can't see the printer.  I have sharing enabled in my network settings and I've disabled the firewall on both sides. No problems with internet connection on either side.  I'm not sure what to try next.  Help! Are both computers showing in the Workgroup?   Check the workgroup from both the 98 machine and the XP machine.

Ok good. Now make sure you have it shared for all users. when you share the printer there should be a check box there and make sure, double check that is is in fact shared.

Hello! Thanks for your response.  Yes both computers are listed in the workgroup on both the PC and the laptop. Michelle
