To resolve the low memory error message , I suggest you increase the virtual memory on your system. Perform the following steps:
1. Right-click My Computer on the desktop and select the option "Properties"
2. In the properties window, Click the Advanced tab
3. Under Performance section, click Settings
4. In the Window "Performance Options", click the tab "Advanced"
5. In the section "Virtual Memory", the system shows the total size
of the Paging file, which you can increase with the "Change" button.
6. Select the radio button Custom size, to define the virtual memory.
Also, improve the system performance in Windows XP.
Disable startup applications.
1. Click Start and Run. In the Run dialogue box, type MSConfig and press Enter
Click the Startup tab and click Disable all button. Restart the system.
