Nope it still doesn't seem to work. Anyone find any other way to use v313w with a Mac? the Dell webpage says it is compatible but I cannot make it work. thanks.
The link I provided to the product information still does not list it as Mac compatible. I see the link to the driver that another user provided, but the fact that Dell does not list it as Mac compatible on the product info. page makes me wonder if there are either bugs or limitations (or both).
........
I just looked up more information on the Mac printer driver for this, and at least one user got it to work, but only when physically connected, not wirelessly.
lad you were able to get something to meet your needs....Since it was never advertised as Mac OS compatible, I'd be surprised if they ever did give a Mac driver for it.
I (sort of) got mine to work "wirelessly", as it is directly connected to my Time Capsule, but I'm pretty sure this would work with any router.
There STILL is no driver for OSX Lion.
But..... I installed the printer using the Lexmark S300-S400 printer driver directly from my MacBook, then hooked it up to the router and that's doing the trick for now.
If Apple would have been a little nicer, the older Mac drivers would have worked.
Dell Printer are made for Dell by Lexmark, and once Lexmark releases the drivers, then Dell tests them to make sure they work. It's a process. Apple should make the system to be able to use the older Mac OX Drivers.
It has been an issue for Mac OX people since they released Lion.
My wife bought it thinking, or not thinking "Why wouldn't it work?" I'd have checked, but can't blame her for not checking; it SHOULD be PnP (mostly). It's hard for me to imagine why Dell won't get a driver out for Lion. That's only a few million prospective buyers to ignore. It's a printer, people; write the driver. If my mac can get along my with my XBox, it should be able to get along with a Dell printer.
I don't know much about Mac's, so please bare with me.
On a Windows system, with the computer online, when you install the drivers, you can select a new installation, then choose network and follow the instructions. It will prompt you to connect the printer to the computer. It will ask for your network and the password. I use these Recommended Wireless Router Settings I use channel 11 in my wireless router. I would make a new SSID to make connecting easier.
I'm working on MAC OSX and have managed to connect my v313w printer as you recommended with the Lexmark driver. If I connect the cable I can print but not wirelessly. The WiFi button is flashing orange so I obviously haven't connected the printer to the router, but for the life of me I don't know how. Any suggestions please?

No, it is not compatible with a Mac.
Go here and view the tech specs...
http://www.dell.com/us/en/enterprise/peripherals/printer-dell-v313w/pd.aspx?refid=printer-dell-v313w&cs=555&s=biz
That is the official answer, but it is possible someone has found a way to make it work. If so, perhaps they can chime in with their help...

That would help explain why the do not list the printer as Mac compatible....

Chief,
Did you try to install the OCR Program from the printer disk?
