Making my desktop wireless
What do I need to make my desktop wireless....I have the wireless router and a wireless card for my laptop...What do I need for my desktop, considering that the router/modem aren't near them.
Thanks!

You would need a wireless network card in the desktop. Just be aware that it is always a good idea to connect at least one computer to the router through a wired connection. That way if you need to change the configuration of the wireless part of the network or have trouble with the wireless part of the network, you can still connect to the router to make changes or troubleshoot.

I've recently added two desktops to my wireless network. Both use a wireless PCI card. One is an Orinoco PCI adapter that accepts a laptop wireless PC Card, and the other is an inexpensive generic (TRENDnet) wireless PCI card. http://www.computers4sure.com/Product.asp?ProductId=1802317&iid=323
Both seem to work fine.
