Millenium Ed operating system not recognizing Westell
I ordered DSL fast access with Bellsouth, but my computer, with a Millenium edition operating system does not recognize the modem.
What solutions have other members found.
Also, I will be getting a new XP Professional operating system package that my nonprofit employer wants me to install at home. How do I change the operating system in my computer from ME to XP.

How do you connect to the DSL modem? USB or ethernet? If ethernet, set your TCP/IP settings to what your ISP requires. USB would no-doubt require a driver for the modem - check the manufacturer for a driver or whoever gave you the modem.
As for moving from Me to XP, your best bet is to back up all data you need to keep - docs, email, program settings, music, pics, etc. and then booting to the XP cd, removing all partitions, making a partition, formatting it, then loading XP. All that is possible off the setup in XP.
