Modem on Hold Problem

Hello, I have modem on hold installed on my inspiron 600.  The software is activated, I have call waiting id, and I'm connecting via a v.92 supported dial up number.  The problem I am experiencing is that the modem on hold software doesn't even recognize that I'm connecting to the internet.  When I check the MOHLog, the last thing it says is "waiting for connection".  If I open the software while I am connected, the window says "not connected".  Does anyone have any idea how I might be able to overcome this?  Thanks for any advice!

I finally solved my problem and I'm posting in the hopes it will help someone else with a similar problem.  There doesn't seem to be much MoH knowledge in this forum.  In desperation, after working on this issue for ten days, I tried rolling back my modem driver.  I didn't think this would actually do anything, because I've only had this laptop for a few months and had never updated the driver, since there wasn't a newer one available.  It kept bugging me that the driver on my computer wasn't on the dell downloads site.  It was dated 6/13/2003, but the dell site was saying the most recent driver for my modem was from 1/2003.  Rolling back actually took me to the 11/2002 driver, but after that MoH worked just like it is supposed to.  Although I could update to the 1/2003 driver, I think I'm going to stick with the 11/2002 since everything is actually working now.
