Modem On Hold...how do I take it off

A cleint of mine has a Inspiron 4150 and it says Modem On Hold...i've reinstalled drivers, updated windows, input a new modem, ran dell diagnostics and still nothing WORKS!!  He has no idea how it happened.  It was working fine last week and then two days .....Modem On Hold.

Does anyone have any idea how  I can stop it!!

But the Modem on Hold program won't open.  When I open it from Programs it just tells me I don't have a modem connected.

What happens if you uninstall and then reinstall the modem?

It finds the new hardware, but before it completes the computer will freeze.

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

Follow these instructions:

  1. Open the program.
  2. Click the Settings button. (The lower middle button.)
  3. Place a check mark in the box that says "Ignore all incoming calls."
  4. Click OK.
