modem rev A00 & A01

I have an Inspiron 8100 and the modem went out.  In looking for another Actiontec modem, Dell p/n 4G889, I found one with an earlier REV of A00 instead of A01, but everything else was identical.  Will this work?  What is the difference in them?  Thanks.
