Modem Sound Problem

Question

I had to reinstall my operation system the other day, before I did this when the modem was dialing all the sound came from the speaker on the modem. Now it is coming out of the desktop speakers.  I've tried everything I now.  Any help would be great!

Double clikc on the speaker icon in the systray. There should be a slider for 'telephone' or 'TAD'. Mute it.

Tried that, there is no telephone or TAD sections, I checked advance options.  This is windows XP. I don't wan to mute the dialing noise, I want to make it come out of the modems speaker again.
