modem update
I would like to update the modem that came with my Dell desktop 2600. Dell help tells me to log on as an administrator but no one seems to know how to do that? I am sure it is a simple step but I am unable to find that simple answer.

If you are the only one that uses the PC, you probably have "Administrator" priviledges and can do any updating that is needed.
If there is a Dell update for your modem, download and install it - most likely it will install without any issues.
