Modifying Default Settings in 14xx Driver

Question

Is it possible to modify the default settings for the configuration of the 14xx series of wireless drivers?  I have 4 settings that I need to change from the factory settings.  I've tried modifying the bcmwl5.inf file, but although the configuration menus reflect the changes, the actual driver settings are not affected.   I have about 700 laptops that I need to update the wireless driver on, so I'd like to make the changes to the installation so that the 'custom' settings are ready to go out of the box.   Thanks
