{MOVED}Unable to connect Dial Up
Hi ,
I have a Dell XPS 15 with Win 7 . I was using a dial up connection (BSNL EVDO (India) to connect to internet some time back. Some where between 2 months I switched to Broad Band and now I can't use the Dial Up any more. My Control Panel option "Phones and Modems" no longer opens.
The error is "Phone and Modem Control Panel cannot be opened. You may have a problem starting telephony service". I have scourged the internet for a solution and none seems to help.
I think the issue is due to a Windows update for Intel Centrino N-1030 which I installed (No evidence ,just a hunch). After this update the OS is not showing network connectivity status, but the Intel Proset/Wireless tool.
Please let me know anybody faced this issue or found a solution.
Thanks

Hi Rajath,
I have already seen that thread, My registry entry is proper (it's already running under NetworkService).
Do we have any other solutions?

Hi KingsKnight,
Thank you for your reply and for providing an update on the status. You try reinstalling the software or the EVDO drivers and check if it fixes the issue.
Please let me know about your findings.
