Multiple User Accounts and Different Wireless Speeds
I have a new Inspiron laptop and my daughter and I have set up separate accounts. On my account I can access my wireless printer and I get 54mbps. On my daughters account she cannot access the printer and the speed is only 11mbps. I have tried without much luck to reconfigure her wireless setup and have not been able to do anything to access the printer. It is frustrating because I have had this system since February and have had one problem after another.
If anyone has any suggestions as to how I can resolve this problem, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks!
Karen

What happens if the faster-connecting system is shut down completely? Does the 'cannot connect' problem continue?
As I understand it, when multiple wireless clients are using the same access point device, it will operate at only one speed -- in effect, the lowest common denominator. Speed, however, may not be the issue you are raising.

Are both accounts setup as Administrator accounts?
Just verifying, both accounts are setup on the one (Inspiron) laptop?

There are two user accounts set up on one Inspiron laptop. My user account gets the faster speed while my daughter's account gets the slowest speed. We are never using both accounts at the same time. We are both set up as administrator.
Thanks!
