Multiple wireless connections

I have a Dell inspiron 600m, with the 1400 dual lan card with a 2300 router.  Can I run multiple laptops wirelessly through the router at the same time, where if I shut down one laptop will the other one remain connected to the network.

As long as each laptop is set up for the router and has a separate IP address, there should be no problem. I run three laptops and one desktop through my wireless router. I have the all on a LAN, but when my brother-in-law visited with his laptop, he was able to access the internet fine through the router, but couldn't access my LAN. That is the purpose of the router.

Most all routers will support up to 253 clients associated to it at a time.  The limit is determined by the IP address pool (0-255).

Yes you can have more than 1 wireless notebook connected to the router at the same time and it doesn't matter whether you turn one, or any, off or on and the others will still be connected. Most wireless router will support up to around 15-20 wireless clients, notebooks, PCs with a wirelesss card, a wireless printer, whatever, at the same time. I don't know how many the Dell 2300 will allow at the same time. Along with wireless clients you can have many wired clients connected at the same time, up to 253. The wireless clients/PCs are part of the 253.

Thanks, that answers my question.
