MWEB ADSL E6400 Wireless connection problem
Hi
I got mweb adsl recently and my work laptop is a DELL E6400,
It uses Intel/PROSet/Wireletss WifI Connection Utility software... When I launch it I can select the wireless connections --> It then asks in the wizard for a Device Ownership Password. This can not be longer than 7 characters. I have no idea what this is... If i enter the my key and go pass 7 chars a 'Checksum validation failed for the PIN entered' error occurs
My network key that i uses on my cell phone and desktop to connect is 10 characters long.
If i enter only 7 0's it goes to the next wizard step. here it asks for
Network Name (SSID), Security Type and Password(Key)...
tje security type is WPA2, and i can change the key to my key that i use on my desktop but then it tries to authenticate ....'Recieved device information for capabilities of the wireless network' to which it failed.
Does any one know how to configure the wireless network?
Thanks,
Chris

Chris,
Try using these Recommended Wireless Router Settings, I use channel 11. Using WPA Security is good, especially if using wireless printer, usb adapetrs, etc. Password should be at least 13 chanracters long.
