my laptop does not boot not even bios

Good day everybody.

I was hoping somebody could give me their opinion on a problem I am having with my laptop Studio 1735.

Two days ago I turned it off to go to bed like usual and yesterday morning when I tried to open it again it did not boot.

I removed the battery and all that in case it was just something simple like that but still it does not boot. The battery if fully charged, the power button turns on, nothing shows up on the screen, it stays blank, and the hard drive light stays on for only 3 or 4 seconds. Then the computer stays dead. Only the power button stays on

I have a feeling that it might be the power supply but I am no expert.

Any input would be appreciated.

Like what would you do to have it fixed  and if younthink you know the solution how much do you think it would cost and where would you go. My Dell warraty is over since September.

Thanks all.

Remove the battery. Unplug the A/C adapter.  Hold down the power button for 20 seconds. Now remove the cdrom drive, hard drive and express card you may have. Remove and reseat the memory one module at a time  Plug in the A/C adapter and attempt to power up with one memory stick at a time one slot at a time.

I removed all the items. Ram Hard disk cmos battery and all and still no go. Now I can't even turn on the laptop anymore.

I tried to bring it to a computer store to fix but they would not touch it at all. I do not know what to do anymore. The thing is only 14 months old and the warrenty is out and I can,t get it to start even.

I checked on the web and some thread speak of a power jack that sometimes breaks. Could that be it? I live in montreal is there a place where I could go to have it fix?

Dell charges 249$ just to take a look at it. It's a bit steap for a check up.

Thanks
