If you go into the device manager do you see a yellow exclamation point next to your wireless card? If so, reinstall the driver and see if that helps.

Jess,

It is always helpful when you post here to tell us which model comptuer you have, which verison of Windows, and since this is a wireless issue, which model wireless network adapter you have.  Without that information, you are forcing us to guess at how to solve the problem.

On most Dell notebook computers, the Fn F2 key combination toggles the wireless adapter on and off.  Have you tried using that key combination to see if you can turn the wireless radio on?

If the card is not getting any power it is either not seated in the slot correctly or is defective.
