Need an education on wireless networking
I just ordered an inspiron 5100 laptop with a True Mobile 1300 802.11B/G Mini-PCI Card. I have a motorola surfboard cable modem. I am new to wireless, and I want to make sure I get the right router. Can you recommend some that are compatible but won't break the bank?

I highly recommend the Linksys WRT54G. It is easy to setup and should cost less than $70. I set on up in my home about a month ago to replace my older Linksys wired router. It took me about 10 minutes to set it up.

So long as the cable modem has an ethernet port and is not a USB-only cable modem, the Linksys will work. I have an Inspiron 5100 with the TM 1300 card and it all works perfectly.
