I'm running WIN ME on an optiplex gxa. I can't find my orginal documents that came wit it so i can't ring dell for help. The modem is the orignal one that came wit it but im not sure wat it is.

There is absoulutely NO WAY that the Modem came with the Gxa and its a Dell product and windows ME doesnt recognize it Unless its a really old ISA winmodem.

Then it might be the Hawk modem.

Provide the Serial Number/Service Tag and we may be able to lookup the original config.

In either case a new PCI modem is going to be less than $10 with a driver disk.
So its not worth any time to lookup and get new drivers. Take the old modem out and toss in the trash and buy a new one.

I just got a modem order from geeks.com & it's my last one....................they sent the modems without the driver cd & other parts that were advertised as being part of the package.

Well if you ordered with a credit card then you should be able to send it back and tell your ccard company not to pay. Never had any problems with geeks.

Always able to get a real live person on the other end.

Not sure what your specific problem was.
