It is best to set up the router using a wired connection from your 8200, then, using this wired connection, configure the the wireless part of the network.  Note that there are bugs in the software for the TM2300, so it is best to configure the wireless network using the Web-based configuration utility as detailed in the manual that came with your router.

Normally a wired connection to the router will work with the Windows XP default configuration.  Once you can connect to the router you can configure the wireless network using the web-based configuration utility.  There is no need to install any software on any computer.  Once the router is configured for the wireless network, so long as the TCP/IP configuration on the laptop is set to obtain an IP address automically, it should be able to connect.  It will not, however, be a secure connection.  To add the security, see the following:

Yes, you should be able to share the printer without a dedicated print server.  The computer that the printer is connected to has to be powered on in order to be available on the network.

Steve, thanks for ur quick reply....Im not too knowledageable about computers but im trying to do my best to learn. so u mean that after installing the router and the software to my desktop, I should configure the router right away using my desktop?..after configuring it to my desktop, should i install the software to my notebook and configure the notebook using wirelessly? Thanks again for ur help...Gil............also, can i share my prnter w/o using a print server?
