Need help troubleshooting
fired up my dell 2400 the other day and i couldnt connect to the internet
i have 3 pcs hooked to a dlink 524 router via cat 5
rebooted pc, nothing
it will ping the other pcs on the network, but cant ping the router or the modem
turned off pc and hooked directly to modem...nothing
turned off everything, all pcs, router, modem
powered on router, modem, then troubled pc
nothing, found windows firewall had turned self on
disabled, was able to hook up to my lan but at 10mbps instead of 100
was able to access net for a cpl hours
left pc on, left for weekend
returned home to same situation
now nothing will enable connection
will power down all and start over again
the other 2 pcs have no issues, will work in any router port, or when hooked directly to modem. modem has 4 ports as well which all work with any pc but the dell 2400
looking for advice or links to more help
frustrated that this came up out of the blue
i run spybot and adaware religiously every saturday
avg antivirus daily
ran hijack this, nothing out of place there either(although im no hijack this expert,its pretty easy to spot things out of place)

To help troubleshoot this problem, go to Start > Run and type cmd then click OK. In the command prompt window that opens, type ipconfig /all then hit the enter key. Write down the output from this command or select it and save it to a txt file, then copy this output into a reply to this message.

the netbios over tcpip is strange, zone alarm used to always ask permission for that and hasn t in a while
