Need Help

I recentaly in stalled a wireless card in my Dell Inspiron 1150, 1470 interinal after I nstalled the card I was unable to receve a signal from My wireless unit, I checked my wireless unit and appers to be working, I can conect with my PDA however the computer does not see the wireless signal the computer says unavailable. I tried everything I know to repair this,
 
I tried to use my exterinal card it too will not work, Please somebody help me

Did you install drivers for that new card? You need to.

Yes I got the Drivers form Dell, I tried to update the drivers However there is no update available

A great question, and someone may post the exact answer, meanwhile I would look in Device manager, and do a properties on the wlan card and see if there is a setting in there. If there was software that installed with that driver, look at that.

I now get the following message
 
Your Dell WLAN card has been Disabled bacuse the " Disable upon wired conect has been Enabled" Now where do I find that.

I did find what I was looking for, However I staill have the same problem, Wirelenn Network is unavailable. I tried a cold restore that did not work, Tried cycling the Ant on and off That did not work, If anybody else knows anything please let me know,

Tonight I spent almost two hours with Dell who was connected tomy computer via Dell connect, They were unable to repair my problem, Please if anybody has any ideas Please let me know, I can not use my wireless anywhere I go,

I tried a Exterinal card, The samething happens, until last week I never had an interinal card, I used aExterinal PCI Card, and Everything worked, However this morning I noticed that the amber light on the network connection on the back of the computer is on even when the cable is not connected, I dont think this is right.

Good News
 
I got the Notebook card to work, so I reinstalled the interinal card, It still does not work, I agree I think the card may have a problem, Thanks for all the help I will be connecting Dell tonight to return the card
