Need range for net.

Question

Ok...this is the thrid forum I'm pposting in, now. I just got a new laptop. Been figuring it out here and there. So here's my problem... I need this thing for work. I do nights, and it's basically a sit around job. I finally learned how to connect to other networks to access the net, but... when I went to work.. my connection died 20 meters before their driveway. is there a way to extend my range even jsut a bit? If there are steps to do to my computer, go slow please ^_^ and if this is a matter of having to buy something.. I'll need info there, too. Thanks-- aevo

It has nothing to do with the laptop, it is the signal from the Access Point that is dying out.
