NetGear Router help please!

just been through the setup again nothing about a wireless connection or anything and there is nothing in the manual... help please :(((((((((((((

on the setup wizard it doesent say anything about wireless? in my laptop i have dell mini pci 1370 card. ill try the setup again thanks.

 

Did you follow the instructions in the Netgear user's guide to enable the wireless network on the router?  I strongly suggest against using the wireless setup wizard.  My experience is that if you answer one question wrong, the wizard believes you then goes on to mess everything up.  Netgear routers usually come with pretty straightforwad set up instructions.  If you need more help, you need to tell us which wireless network card you have on your laptop and whether or not it is set to let Windows handle the wireless network or to let the utility that came with the wireless network adapter handle the wireles network.

I'm sorry, but when I take the time to go to the Netgear support page and look up the documentation on your router/modem, I can find all kinds of things in the setup guide that tell you how to set up the wireless connection.  You haven't said the exact model of your router, but the setup documentation for one version is at:

Click on the link to the Setup Manual under Documentation, then look on page 1-12 where it says "How to setup Basic Wireless Connectivity"  Does reading that help you at all?  Again, I'm not sure that this is the documentation for your exact model, but you own the router, so you should have access to the documentation on your exact model.

iv looked thorugh lots of router guides on the Netgear website but they all say when u loginto the router from 192.168.0.1 i log in succesfully but on the left hand side it doesent say "Wireless Settings" my Netgear model is DG834 v3 ..please help. thanks (in almost all the guides it says click on wireless settings but its not there :s)

i just looked through my routers setup manual on the netgear website and it only tells you how to set up the modem...

Well, after spending some more time on the Netgear support page I found out why there is no wireless options on the that model  That model is a modem/router - it is NOT a modem/wireless router.  It has no capability to connect by wireless.  Sorry.
