netgear super G technology with i8500?
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knows whether the inspiron 8500 is capable of supporting the super g technology pcmcia cards which runs at 108Mbps. I know that the i8500 supports 802.11a/b but im not sure about 802.11g. Any help would be great!
Thanks.
Steve

You get a PCI desktop card that has a mini-PCI under the shield, make sure it has antenna lead connector(s), then remove it and put it into your notebook.

Im not sure on what brand and how to do this and so forth. Are there websites out there that give details on how to do this? If there is could someone pleasse direct me to the sites. You may want to look at:

More info in that thread and I'm trying to do the same thing you are from the looks of things.
