When you installed Windows 7 (32-bit or 64-bit) did you install the desktop/notebook utility and the chipset drivers first? If not the rest of the drivers will fail to install. How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order If you cannot find Windows 7 drivers, then try using the Vista (or XP) 32-bit drivers, for Windows 7 32-bit of the Vista (or XP) 64-bit drivers for Windows 7 64-bit and install the drivers in the Compatibility mode.
Download the System Information Tool If using Vista/Windows 7, the tool needs extracted. Once extracted, right click on sysinfo and run as administrator.
If using XP, double click on the tool, then double click on sysinfo.
Allow this past your virus program and post the information back here.
Installing the chipset drivers is needed first. Without installing these drivers, the rest of the drivers will fail to install. These drivers know what is attached to they system.

DanMc78,
Did you recently install the operating system? If yes, make and model of the computer and operating system. 32-bit or 64-bit?
Can you run an ipconfig /all log and post it back here.

DanMc78,
Can you use the ehternet cable to connect?
Flash drive or to a disk is one method.
If you do the above method, right click at the top of the log, edit, select all
right click again, edit, copy
Then open notebook and paste it there. Put on a flash drive and post it back here.
